IMG_0870A woman came home to find her retired husband waving a rolled up newspaper round his head.

Wife: ‘What are you doing dear?’
Husband: “Swatting flies – I got 3 males and 2 females”

Wife: “How on earth do you know which gender they were?”
Husband: “Easy – 3 were on the beer, and the other 2 were on the phone”

As many of you know I preach regularly about the role of humour in writing and the benefits of laughter. Indeed most of my writing is geared towards making people laugh. There is are several reasons why I link laughter with happiness, and today you can read all about my views or indeed my obsession with it.

Today, I am honoured to be guesting on Clinical Poster’s Health Blog for Laughing During Heart Health Month. Click HERE to see what I had to say about it and to see if you can spot the difference between me and Ken Dodd!

It seems like I am not the only person who has been talking about this subject recently either. Friend and fellow Indies Unlimited, Laurie Boris, who featured here a few weeks ago had a great article on her blog last week entitled healing with Humor – click HERE to read it. Also the vivacious and positive, Nina Knox, from Over 50 and Happy had an excellent article about the role of happiness in our lives.

So, please go ahead and read it, then come back here for some laughs of friday with this week’s Feel Good Friday jokes.

Remember, “He who laughs…lasts!”
